Sooo Busy.. But absolutely LOVE it!!!

Wow what a busy past few months it has been for Poppy & Lulu!!
Everyone is getting ready for christmas and I 'm so delighted that people are thinking to give p&l goodies to loved ones :) And all the positive feedback that I am receiving just makes this journey so fulfilling x
Here are some pictures of the recent market that I had and it was the best one yet!!

I have sooo many ideas on how to set up my stalls next year- it will be bigger and better and so dani!!
Here are some props that I got delivered today and I'm so excited to grab some more jazzy pieces to funk up the stall when we are down in Perth over Christmas.

Aren't they just swell!!!
And this is just the beginning- Yay :)
I also picked these babies up and stay tuned with what I'm going to do with these- again props for the stall and will look super duper cute!

I also picked up a vintage dresser for Lucy's room that we will fix up and spruce up all for $30- Bargain!!!
Will show the after photo when we finish.

Well Poppy & Lulu will be great next year and I really hope you all love it.
Here is a little peek at a custom order head band that I made for a friend- what do you think?

Thought I would include a piccy of some of the gorgeous hair clips-

Next year will include bunting for boys and girls and I'm thinking a little bit of personalisation would be good!!

Mood board Poppy & Lulu style. Also some fabric covered canvas's perhaps?

And of course the baby quilts!! This style and patchwork, names or no names, whatever you would like but stay tuned to the facebook page for more info on these early next week.
Then there are the ever popular earrings and rings!! New styles with new fabrics- squealing with excitement.

I will post just before christmas but happy shopping :)

Mini Quilts and geting ready for Christmas!!!

Awhile ago I was given some beautiful Amy Butler fat quarter bundles from my marvellous mum for my birthday. So i decided to make a patch work quilt and I then had HEAPS of squares left over. So what does one do with heaps of squares- make little quilts for my friends babies. I started making the little quilts as I began Poppy & Lulu and thought it would be nice for other people to have a lovely little quilt for their bubs (or friends bubs).
So I advertised them on my blog and they went like hot cakes!! Here are some delicious pictures of them:

They were so much fun to make for every body- so I have decided to make more :) But ladies i will have to increase the price as they are very time consuming and I have now had to go and buy the fabric. So I can't wait till I receive the fabric and can get started on making more- with my little helper Lucy :)
Hope you all like them!!

So now we are into November and it's almost Christmas time!!
I have started making heaps of little goodies for people to buy as christmas gifts for their friends and family. There is also another market on the 18th Nov in Karratha that I'm hoping to get too :)
I have put together little matching bundles of rings and earrings- but theres nothing wrong with mixing it up a little:

Well I think I have flooded the page with photos so I'll stop there :)

Wonderful markets and my cupboard!!

Well what a few weeks it has been for Poppy & Lulu!! Firstly a mini market for some of the lovely Karratha mums to grab some home grown goodies at. It was such a wonderful few hours- Karratha definitely has some talent out there!!

Then was the big millars well markets we had in 40 degree heat!!But it was all worth it- such a successful day. It was great to meet new people and hear the great feedback from the locals- a real treat :) Lucy this time stayed with her daddy in the aircon with regular trips for a little feed!!

I absolutely LOVE markets- I can't wait to do more!!

With Poppy & Lulu getting bigger and slightly bigger, one needs more materials! And where does one put her materials!! In a icky brown cupboard up cycled to a marvellous off white cupboard with some swish green flower door knobs- thats right!!!

She fits everything in perfectly...for now at least :)
Of to now play with an almost crawling, teething bub :)
I can't leave without putting a recent photo of Lucy up though. Here she is at her swimming lessons and she loves the water.

Until next time..

Poppy & Lulu are on Facebook!!!

What a busy few weeks I have had!!! We have just got back from being in Perth for a few weeks and geez did I stock on fabric or what :) As Poppy & Lulu were successful at the last markets I have decided to do the last few markets here in Karratha before christmas and before it gets too hot to do anything. So I have found more fabric to make rings, earrings and hair clips out of to keep me going for ages :) I also have had plenty of more ideas of what I can make and sell- but one step at a time as I have a tendency to overdo the work load :)

Here is a sneak peak of the material that I have bought- all beautiful material from the ever lovely Calico & Ivy in Mosman Park!!

As the title suggests Poppy & Lulu are now on Facebook!! I have been so overwhelmed with the positive feedback and all the people who like my facebook page- it's such an inspiration to keep going and make such wonderful things for everyone, it really puts a smile on my face :) I absolutely love doing this- finally I have found something that I'm really passionate about and really enthusiastic to want to do. I just hope that I can continue with my Poppy & Lulu journey as I never want it too end !!

Here are a few photos of custom orders I have done for some beautiful customers of mine :) It has been so much fun to do:

I also have to share the amazing things that I found at the local ( well in perth anyway) Melville carpark markets that run every sunday morning. I love markets and fossicking through others people so called trash to find my treasures :) This is what I found- One polka dot dress, a floral top and a floral shirt, a pair of Tony Bianco heels and a basket to carry it all in- LOVE!! And all for $15.

And to finish off for today I have included a photo of Olive who is my mum, dad and sisters new little kitten who is just adorable!! She found my ring and it was her new toy for ages :) And of course a Lucy shot.

Love Dani xx

My first Market Stall :)

On sunday I had my very first market stall and it was sooo much fun :) I have always wanted to sell my creations at a market for a very long time and thought what better time to start than now!! I was selling fabric covered buttons in various sizes, fabric covered earrings and rings which look lovely on, hair clips with yo-yo's, buttons or roses attached to them and look great in little girls hair and baby onesies with yo-yo necklaces attached. It was a hoot and I sold quite a lot of things which was a very pleasant surprise. So now to make more for the next market in Karratha next month :)

Here are a few photos of my stall and some of the delights I'm selling:

Oops I went a little overboard with the photos but it was hard to choose which to show as there are plenty more :) I'm going to start up a Poppy & Lulu facebook page in the next week or so. This way I can sell my things to people who don't live in Karratha!!! Let me know if you like it :)
I'm also going to make some little boy onesies as well so for the mums with boys watch out :)

Well back to making and creating

x
